After so many years of drought and lack of precipitation, Moroccan water authorities have came, at last, to the idea of managing rationally the remaining of this strategic natural resource; either in dams reservoirs or underground water. During the previous summer, and in fear of a drastic shortage of water -which in turn- will lead to upheavals and manifestations of thirsty people, the relevant water authorities decided to take a few steps to help save more water for health and drinking reasons. Among these measures; the authorities decided to close down many car wash garages, irrigate gardens and some Golf course surfaces with treated used water,as well as treating and purifying used water in many agglomerate cities in order to be used in gardening and agriculture. For this reason many conventions were signed with some countries especially Japan. Others were signed with some organizations-in – concern.Other measures taken to preserve the water is to rationalise the digging of water holes and wells. So if some farmers want to dig a water hole they to get permission from water bassins and hydric authorities. However some large scale commercial agriculture farmers dig very deep water holes and use solar energy pumps -which work pump huge quantities of underground water to irrigate their big and large farms. Among these farming investors we find some rich investors from Gulf countries and some high ranked military agents from Morocco and other civil Moroccan investors. A matter which help Deteriorate the underground water; herein small farmers are affected seriously by the behaviour of those big agricultural farmers. To conclude with, an integrated workshop or schedule was to be applied in many aspects in order to preserve and rationalise the use of water either in households or in agriculture or in industrial and mining factories. Many companies of replanting adapted trees in forests and control the cutting of woods, desertification control and content. Furthermore, building new water dams is on and other water bassins and dams are under studies; encouraging the plantation of agricultural products which require less water, and ban the most consuming water products in some sub-dry areas. Central units of sea water desalination ( desalt) are under construction in order to lower the burden on other water resources. In some cities, during summer time, the provision of drinkable water is controlled to avoid waste. Compaings of water use rationalising were launched in major mass media.
